Ms. Jessie Adams-Weinert- Lead Teacher
Jessie was raised with one foot in Southwest England and the other in Arizona. She spent most years outside with her dogs and at the ice rink practicing for competitions and coaching young skaters. After high school, she received a BA in Family Studies and Human Development while tour guiding in southeast Alaska. After college she made the move to Haines permanently, and currently is pursuing an MA in Early Childhood Education. She also works as a yoga teacher and hopes to encourage all she meets to become their best self.
Ms. Jasmine Taylor-Bryant- Assistant Teacher
Jasmine was born in Seattle and raised in the Pacific Northwest. She moved to Haines in 1995, when she was 16, with her mom and younger sister and has been here ever since. She and her teenage daughter Willow live with their friendly, fluffy dog Tahkin and enjoy hiking in the woods, playing at the beach and reading an infinite number of books. She has a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences and English from University of Alaska, Southeast and has worked with children on and off since her daughter attended CVP 10 years ago. She has also worked in kitchens around town as a baker and barista, with elders at the senior center, and advertising at the local newspaper. Her favorite part about working with children is watching their creative minds and sense of adventure make every day a bit brighter as they learn and interact with the world around them.
Ms. Dacotah- Executive Director
Dacotah was born and raised in the Midwest. Upon earning her degree in environmental science and her M.B.A. in California, she decided to pursue her dreams of living in Alaska full time and made the move up to Haines. While originally working as a tour guide she realized that sharing the outdoors with eager children was exciting and rewarding! So when the job became available she was excited to take on the new role in the community and is enjoying every minute. She is enjoying watching them grow.
